Collagen Gel - Cosmetics Component PDF Print E-mail
Collagen gel is thick, iridescent gel and the dispersion of collagen proteins fractions (type I collagen) soluble in water in a solution of weak, organic acid (lactic acid). Special selection of process parameters allowed to obtain collagen in the form of a triple helix, thus avoiding the destruction of collagen structures found in live organisms. The product is a source of native collagen, and not a hydrolysate of collagen proteins! The production process allowed also for an additional enrichment of the preparation with elastin beneficial for skin. The material is obtained from the skins of rare, freshwater species of fish.

Collagen lyophilisate PDF Print E-mail

Lyophilisation is a freeze-drying process (transformation from the solid state to gaseous state with the omission of the liquid state), used for thermolablile products (non-resistant to heating), e.g. pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and foodstuffs.

During the process of lyophilisation, the dried preparation should be first frozen (below -40°C), and then the vacuum (approx. 1 Pa) necessary to start the sublimation of water should be created. Next, heat to maintain sublimation should be supplied in a controlled manner and the resulting steam should be removed (e.g. frozen out). Thanks to their large surface, the lyophilised preparations are usually well soluble and often highly hygroscopic.

The Inventia lyophlised collagen contains approx. 98% of collagen

, which may be used in the production of cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. The humidity of the preparation is approx. 2%. As the result of lyophilisation the preparation still

has the spatial configuration of amino acids and is still biologically active.
